Transportation Supervisor
We are in search of the ideal candidate to provide supervisory responsibilities for the Transportation Department.
Qualifications:
   * Possess, or ability to obtain, proper endorsements/license (CDL, School Bus & Passenger)
   * Current DOT Physical (or ability to obtain)
   * Proficient organizational skills
   * Proficient oral and written communication skills
   * Detail oriented
   * Professional service oriented disposition
   * Strong leadership skills
   * Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google, and ability to learn Transfinder Software
Specific Job Responsibilities:
   * Supervision of transportation team
   * Driver evaluations
   * Serve as sub driver as needed
   * Ensure visual check of all drivers before routes
   * Maintain/coordinate vehicle maintenance and operations
   * Conduct minor maintenance/repairs of vehicles
   * Availability and visibility during regular bus routes
   * Train new drivers/subs for both bus and vans
   * Coordinate evacuation drills and bus safety information with principals
   * Take care of all sub assignments
   * Coordinate drivers/subs for extra trips
   * Assist drivers in problem solving issues
   * Maintain asset and maintenance databases
   * Communication with parents/staff/administration
   * Active member of MAPT
   * Provide periodic training and safety meetings for drivers
   * Stay up to date with MN Department of Public Safety
   * Monitor regulations, statutes, and policy
   * Maintain driver and vehicle information (DOT, license expiration, etc)
   * Ensure compliance of drivers
   * Attend IEP meetings as needed
   * Verify and approve all time sheets
   * Maintain Transfinder Software
       - Create/modify all routes (bus & van)
       - Create correspondence to be mailed to parents
       - Compile rosters prior to start of school year/summer school
       - Update and maintain routes during school year
       - Notify teachers/office staff of student transportation changes

Speech Language Pathologist
Rush City School District (birth-grade 12) is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist.
Job Duties:
  • Instruction:  Teach and select appropriate education activities for students with communication discrepancies and related activities that will meet predetermined IEP goals. Coordinate curriculum and teaching procedures with other staff members. Provide training and consultation regarding augmentative/alternative communication, articulation, language, voice and fluency. Conduct progress monitoring of students according to IEP goals. 
  • Due Process:  Accurately administer and interpret diagnostic instruments, obervations, and/or reports appropriate for the area of training. Case manage students with primary disability of speech/language disorder, and coordinate development of their individual Education Plans (IEP's). Participate in pre-referral intervention and identification and evaluation for students with communication discrepancies. Ensure that special education Due Process requirements for instructional assessments and services are met according to state and federal rules and laws.
  • Collaboration with others:  Participate on SST when needed and make appropriate recommendations on referrals, assessments, eligibility and diagnosis. Communicate student progress and curriculum concerns to parents. Work with support staff, administrators, and professional agencies in dealing with student concerns in and outside of the teacher classroom related to communication disorders. Attend special education child study team meetings.
Education Required:
  • Master's degree in Communication Disorder or BA/BS degree in Communication Disorders with additional 24 graduate level credits in Communication Disorder or related field.
  • Certification/Licensure: Minnesota teaching licensure in Speech-Language
Preferred but not Required:
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Multiple licensure and willingness to accept additional duties such as co-curricular assignments
  • Advanced training beyond minimum license requirement
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and due process procedure
  • Knowledge of Augmentative Communication
  • Experience with autistic students

Business Education Teacher - Long Term Sub
We are seeking a long term sub for our Business Education Program at the High School (Grades 7-12). This position starts August 30, 2021 through October 24, 2021. Courses include: Computer Applications, Entrepreneurship, Personal Finance, STEAM, Marketing and Work Link. Similar experience preferred by not required - mentor(s) will be available as needed. Business Law

ADSIS Reading Coordinator  
This is a .5 part-time position at Rush City High School (Grades 7-12). Must have ability to work with students with unique reading needs. This position is part of our Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. Requirements include a high school diploma. High School licensure in education is preferred. Bus Driver

This position for an AM and PM route with an approximate total of 3 hours per day during the school year.  Willingness to work as a team player and pick up extra trips is important. This position is open until filled and will begin the start of the 2021-22 school year.

Paraprofessional Substitute - Special Education

Substitute Teachers

We are currently seeking substitute teachers to have on call. A short-call substitute licensure is required and can be obtained through the Minnesota Department of Education. To obtain a short-call substitute license the candidate must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Minnesota candidates that have completed student teaching through a teacher preparation program, but do not yet have a bachelor’s degree awarded may apply for this license. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a candidate may evidence five years of work experience, an associate’s degree, OR a professional certification from an approved certifying organization that is directly aligned to a Career and Technical (CTE) or Career Pathways licensure field.
