ADSIS Reading Coordinator Job Description


Special Education Paraprofessional - High School
This is a part-time position at Rush City High School to begin immediately. The hours are approximately 9:15am-2:15pm during student contact days. Must have ability to work with students who have academic and/or emotional/behavioral disabilities and ability to work as a team with other adults. Special Education Paraprofessional - CE Jacobson Elementary
We are currently in need of two Special Education Paraprofessionals. The ideal candidates for these positions will facilitate student growth by assisting in the management of behavior and social interactions. The skills necessary include confidentiality, patience, good communication/interpersonal skills, flexibility, and teamwork. Two-year degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro test; experience and ability to work with students; desire to work with students who have special needs; ability to follow and carry out the classroom teacher’s instructions; familiarity with computer use and good communication skills. This position is open until filled and will begin the start of the 2021-22 school year.

Van Drivers
We are currently in need of van drivers. These positions are approximately 1-2 hours both in the morning and afternoon with a current wage of $26.40/hour. Valid MN or WI driver's license with clean driving record is necessary. Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required. Food Service 
We are looking for the ideal candidate to join our kitchen staff. This position is at the high school, approximately 5 hours per day. Desire to work with students and staff in a positive atmosphere is necessary. Experience cooking, serving, and cleaning is preferred. Serv Safe certification, or ability to obtain in a timely manner, is required. Bus Driver
BRING YOUR KIDS TO WORK! Provided space is available, drivers may bring their children on the bus. This is a great way to work in your community without needing childcare. We offer a competitive salary ($28.84/hr), additional compensation for extra trips, and benefits to our drivers. This position for an AM and PM route with an approximate total of 3 hours per day during the school year.  Willingness to work as a team player and pick up extra trips is important. Valid MN or WI driver's license with clean driving record is necessary. CDL with school bus endorsement is preferred, but will train the ideal candidates. Paraprofessional Substitute - Special Education

Substitute Teachers

We are currently seeking substitute teachers to have on call. A short-call substitute licensure is required and can be obtained through the Minnesota Department of Education. To obtain a short-call substitute license the candidate must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Minnesota candidates that have completed student teaching through a teacher preparation program, but do not yet have a bachelor’s degree awarded may apply for this license. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a candidate may evidence five years of work experience, an associate’s degree, OR a professional certification from an approved certifying organization that is directly aligned to a Career and Technical (CTE) or Career Pathways licensure field. Interested candidates who possess the short-call substitute license should complete the online application and upload cover letter, resume, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and complete set of credentials.
